A bridging program for all pastors, Christian ministry workers, and Christian leaders who are interested in gaining deeper understanding of missiology for intercultural engagement. This program qualifies one for the Doctor of Intercultural Studies/Missiology Program (D.I.S/D.Miss) or the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D).

Doctor of Intercultural Studies (D.I.S)
A research program designed to provide quality advanced training in intercultural service for qualified men and women. The program prepares and equips individuals:
1) For cross-cultural missionary training, missionary service, and church-planting ministry as a leader.
2) For missions leadership positions in missions agencies, and in churches with well developed missions programs.
3) For faculty development for missiological training schools in Asia and Africa. The entire program of study adopts an academic and research based approach in studying the Asian and African church and culture.

The History of Bethany International University
The story of BIU began when an ethnically diverse group of missionary leaders came together to wait upon the Lord in 1993. This led to the mandate from the Lord to be a blessing to the nations by training and impacting leaders to become missions’ multipliers across Asia, Latin America and Africa. The mandate included that they would live by faith and trust God for all their needs in training the leaders by providing full scholarships to those from developing countries.
